Purchasing Assistant

As a Purchasing Assistant, you are responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that facilitate the effective operation of the purchasing department.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Accurate data entry and maintenance of products and purchase orders, with an emphasis on database consistency
  • Maintain supplier notes and information, both with digital and analog records
  • Run and distribute reports, either from ERP software or other report writing tools
  • Execute internal processes and programs on a routine schedule
  • Review files and other documents to obtain and collate information to respond to requests
  • Maintain productive and positive business relationships, interpret sales data, to make purchasing decisions, and manage inventory levels for suppliers, as assigned by the Purchasing Manager and/or the Executive Vice President
  • Work with warehouse receivers to resolve discrepancies and miscellaneous issues as they arise
  • Perform general administrative tasks as necessary
  • Provide support as needed to buyers/purchasing team
  • Communicate with suppliers, employees, or other individuals, to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address issues.


  • Work experience in purchasing, supply management, or an equivalent field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and ERP Database Systems
  • Familiarity with hobby, games, or toy industry products and trends
  • Proven ability to thrive in a challenging environment that demands flexibility and multi-tasking
  • Ability to focus on fine detail and complete tasks with minimal errors.

Physical Requirements & Environment

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.


  • Base wage: $18.00 per hour.
