Renegade Game Studios Announces Continued Growth With New Staff Hires

Renegade Game Studios is excited to announce five new hires to support their growing lines of board, card, miniatures, and roleplaying games.

Nick Medinger
With Renegade’s expanding eCommerce presence, now including sales to the European Union and United Kingdom, and more to come, Nick Medinger has joined the team as a dedicated eCommerce Manager. Nick’s 18+ years of hobby retail, eCommerce, and logistics experience with stints at ACD Distribution and Funagain Games will help support Renegade’s expanding sales initiatives. "I've been a fan of Renegade for years. I've always been very impressed with their games and their team, both from a professional and personal stand point. I'm very excited to join the team and help get these wonderful games into the hands of Renegade fans all over the world," shared Medinger.

Kaitlin Ellis
While Nick is focusing on the direct-to-consumer portion of Renegade’s business, Kaitlin Ellis has come onboard as a dedicated Sales Manager. Kaitlin literally grew up in a game store and also spent time as a retail buyer before joining Renegade. Her experience and relationships will serve well as she works with distributors in the US and abroad to get Renegade games into local game stores. “I am enjoying learning about the publishing side of the industry and am looking forward to learning even more!” stated Ellis.

Katie Schmitt
In order to maintain the robust schedule of streaming and video content that Renegade produces, Renegade added Katie Schmitt to the team in 2021 as Video Production Associate. Katie oversees both the multiple weekly streaming shows on Twitch.tv/PlayRenegade as well as the studio’s growing slate of virtual events like March 2022’s Renegade Con Virtual. “It's an absolute pleasure to be able to work with the amazing Renegade staff and those in the community,” said Schmitt. “I love to capture great moments and share the passions of fans through videography! I will continue to work hard to help produce awesome content for our games and events!"

Jordan Gaeta
With the launch of games set in the Transformers, G.I. JOE, and My Little Pony universes, as well as significant growth in the Power Rangers and World of Darkness gaming communities, Jordan Gaeta has joined the Renegade team as Community Manager. “I’m extremely happy to have joined the team, and very excited to work with the great gaming communities that Renegade is lucky to have. Like many members of our team and communities, I grew up playing games,” said Gaeta. “The opportunity to work with like minded individuals who have similar passions is one I’m very grateful for. I look forward to helping our fantastic communities continue to grow and become more accessible to others just like us!” Jordan will oversee the continued growth of strong social media communities for these games, as well as the expansion and improvement of the Renegade Discord server and general community engagement initiatives like February’s Ranger Month celebrating the release of the Power Rangers Roleplaying Game, and the upcoming JOE Month, set for April 2022.

Katie Gjesdahl
Katie Gjesdahl brings years of experience in production and project management to the Renegade team as the new Associate Project Manager for the roleplaying games team. Katie began her time in the industry at Asmodee North America, serving as Plastics Project Coordinator, and then a New Product Development Project Specialist before joining Renegade. “I'm excited to join the team and work with such kind and welcoming experienced professionals,” said Gjesdahl. “I'm new to the RPG world but enjoy the storytelling, and am excited to help Renegade provide opportunities for connection and imagination through the games we make.”

Sara Erickson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “I’m so grateful to be working with such a professional and experienced team. Renegade Game Studios has been growing over the past few years and we are happy to have found new team members who share our dedication to our fans and desire to expand the tabletop community.”
