Bluebeard’s Bride: Book of Lore

In Bluebeard’s Bride, you and your friends explore Bluebeard’s home as the Bride, creating your own beautifully tragic version of the classic dark fairy tale. The Book of Lore is a supplement for Bluebeard’s Bride, and contains our version of “Bluebeard”, the fairy tale that inspired the game! It includes more of the tantalizing art that made the original book so striking, plus an imaginative type treatment to further set the sinister tone. The book is the same 8’ x 8’ hardcover as the other books in the Bluebeard’s Bride line, as well as featuring the same gold foil and spot gloss on the cover.

The Book of Lore contains a rewritten version of Bluebeard, but your interaction doesn’t stop with reading. The book features three possible endings: the Bride may decide to return to town and ask for help, she can choose to trust her husband and not look inside the room, or she can choose to disobey her husband and go inside the room. The reader can make their own choice, and then flip to the appropriate page to find their ending of the story.

Bluebeard’s Bride is based on the Powered by the Apocalypse system used in Apocalypse World, Monsterhearts, Urban Shadows, and more.
